Ramon van Meer buys, builds, and scales consumer brands with paid social, short-form content, and retail distribution. Eight exits so far: content sites bootstrapped and sold for $10 million in 2.5 years, a $325,000 dog-ramp acquisition that sold $50 million of ramps in three years, and Afina, a showerhead brand that did $16 million in its first year. He bought Alpha Paw in November 2018 for $325,000. It was a dog-ramp store doing about $700,000 a year with no paid social and no email list. He moved it to Shopify, rewrote the product pages, and turned on Facebook ads and email. The first full year did $7 million and the second did $18 million. Alpha Paw sold more than $50 million of ramps in three years and raised an $8 million Series A led by Nordic Eye in 2021. Before that he bootstrapped several content sites, including Soap Hub, a soap-opera news site he built from zero in 2014, and sold them for $10 million within 2.5 years. In 2020 he launched Genius Litter, a cat litter that changes color when a cat's urine signals a health problem. He took it onto Shark Tank Season 15, closed a deal with Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, and Robert Herjavec, and got it into Target and PetSmart. It now does $5 million a year. His current company is Afina, a filtered showerhead brand he founded in Austin in October 2024.
