About
Bob Mott is a strategic finance and growth leader with 13+ years of experience across e-commerce, media, and impact-driven ventures. With experience bootstrapping startup businesses alongside running strategies for $200M brands, Bob has a unique perspective on business operations and marketing across the spectrum of consumer brands As Sr. Director of Strategic Finance & GM of Media at Huckberry, he oversees both the Media business and Strategic Finance, setting acquisition and LTV/CAC targets, optimizing channel mix through cohort and attribution analysis, and driving media revenue & strategy through sponsored content and direct product sales. He is responsible for the annual company budget and ensuring that major initiatives translate into durable, long-term value for the business. Before stepping into his current role, Bob co-founded Adelante Shoe Co., a sustainable direct-to-consumer footwear brand, where he led finance, business development, and on-the-ground operations in Guatemala—building production from scratch, recruiting and managing a 20+ person workshop team, and tightening lead times within a made-to-order model. His earlier career focused on impact investing and capital advisory roles at Kaya Impacto and Alterna in Latin America, along with capital markets experience at Credit Suisse and field work with Kiva in East Africa. Bilingual in English and Spanish and a former Division I athlete, Bob brings a growth-mindset approach to mentoring, blending analytical rigor with a deep commitment to mission-driven, international work. How Bob Can Help: 1. Build or upgrade FP&A and strategic finance for e-commerce and consumer brands (budgets, forecasting, cohort modeling, LTV/CAC). 2. Design profitable media and marketing strategies, including channel mix, attribution frameworks, and sponsored content revenue models. 3. Launch and scale DTC brands with sustainable, international supply chains and made-to-order or nearshore production. 4. Support fundraising and investor readiness for startups (financial models, storytelling, and term sheet literacy). 5. Advise on international career paths in impact, entrepreneurship, and finance—leveraging experience across the U.S., Latin America, and Africa.
