We coach founders to become experts in growth and avoid the mistakes that can cost your business thousands.
I’ve spent my whole career working with startups at every stage from ideation to scale as a founder, early stage investor, and mentor. I can help you “earn your secret” and identify your Minimum Viable Segment at the beginning, as well as design a revenue model with unit economics fit for scaling once you’ve got product-market fit. What really interests me is helping people make a living by following their curiosity, doing what they like to do, are good at, and care about. I’ve worked with hundreds of founders including scientists, artists, designers, and social entrepreneurs to help them design, grow and scale their businesses. Those who wanted high growth ventures have raised more than £10m collectively. Most of the others who just wanted to bootstrap and remain independent instead are also still going strong.
Jen van der Meer is a business model designer. She practices her craft at Reason Street, where she helps companies shift successfully to customer-centered “x-as-a-service” business models. Recurring revenue businesses enable companies to have more honest relationships with customers and give founders more optionality to pursue growth with less extractive sources of capital. She has helped over 200 founders to be in stronger negotiating positions to raise over $2BN in equity and over $50 MM in grants. Jen also teaches at Parsons Strategic Design and Management Program as an Assistant Professor where she researches sustainable business models and researches alternative sources of capital.
Dynamic self-taught overachiever with a lifetime of professional skills obtained by working in automation technology, clinical management, and performance-based roles. From working in medical research to launching and advising multiple startups and small businesses remotely, I’ve managed both small and large teams across multiple time zones and industries. My specialties include team building, strategic planning, simplification & implementation, and I leverage those skills to provide those I do business with more time and resources. More recently, I completed over 500 course hours of self-driven development education to be a more effective communicator with development teams. Since learning to code, I've automated hundreds of repetitive tasks; everything from identifying social media influencers with web scraping and geographical event-based targeting, to stock/crypto/forex technical analysis monitoring with mobile alerts, with interactions across dozens of exchanges. If you want to learn how to do these things too, I wrote a recommended python study guide that can be found on my website.
