I'm the General Manager for AppSumo Originals, a $13+ million B2C and B2B SaaS business. General Manager, AppSumo Originals

I'm GM overseeing our $13+ million AppSumo Originals B2C and B2B SaaS product business. Responsibilities include: Defining high-level strategy and goals, idea generation, go-to-market and launch strategy, leading our team and running day-to-day operations, growth, hiring... and generally helping our team be awesome and hit our goals. We've released nine B2C and B2B SaaS products. Our products: Sumo.com ($1+ million exit 2023), KingSumo, SendFox, TidyCal, SleekBio, EmailBadge, ShortySMS, Million-Dollar Email Templates 2.0, and AppSumo Connect. In total, our products have 500,000+ registered users and 1.4+ million unique monthly visitors. Notable users, past and present, include: Kevin Durant and Boardroom, Pat Flynn, Toys"R"Us, LEGO, the city of Memphis, Jeff Gordon Racing, Yoga with Adriene, Barstool Sports, Ryan Holiday, Shane Snow, and more.

Co-founder & COO, Albedo

My friend Jason and I wanted better sunscreen to protect ourselves from the harsh San Diego sun for multi-hour surf sessions. We're pale, and we were getting burned a lot. All the sunscreens we saw and tried — even the "natural" ones — were using synthetic ingredients... and, in some cases, ingredients that show a correlation to cancer. (Many of these are the popular brands you still see at stores today.) And, even with all the chemicals... they didn't work well. So, we created 100% natural, organic, plant-based, non-GMO, reef-safe, coral-safe, waterproof sunscreen with a patented "triple layer" protection. It protects 60% better than any other sunscreen on the market, and it stays on your face in the water. We've sold 100+ sunscreens and after-surf moisturizers to surfers all over the world: San Diego, Florida, Hawaii, Australia, and more.

Marketing Leader, Student Loan Hero

I was employee #11 (plus part of the leadership team) for Student Loan Hero — an 8-figure bootstrapped SaaS FinTech startup. My biggest responsibility was leading end-to-end email marketing strategy and execution — which resulted in 4x growth over two years. Email marketing grew faster than any other marketing channel and generated over $1 million in yearly revenue. I was also responsible for a few other acquisition channels and revenue-generating on-site strategies. In July 2018, Student Loan Hero was acquired by LendingTree for $60 million.
